THE NUZLOCKE RUN IS COMPLETE IN-GAME. The run goes through Kanto- RED is the final boss of the run.
I've been super SUPER busy lately with work and the OCT and also battling a few bouts of depression that have left me very... unmotivated.
I'm working on it right now, actually, though! I'm still getting roughs done and the script is still unfinished from when I last left it, but I really want to get it out before the end of the month. I really owe you guys an update and I feel like an awful person for not getting the out as fast as I would want.
The main reason why I'm making this a dev though and actually posting a formal note of this is for a variety of reasons-- I've been getting a LOT of notes, comments and messages asking for the next update and asking when is it going to be out and if I have abandoned it and so on.
I have said it on multiple occasions but I'm gonna say it again: I AM NOT GOING TO ABANDON MY HEARTGOLD RUN.
I have a whole plot layed out and things I want to do with this comic and I am too invested in it to just let it go. It may take me forever to do my updates but that's because I have a paying job I have to go to as well as duties as a mod for the Duality OCT and real life issues. I don't get paid to do my nuzlocke and I do it mostly for the enjoyment of creating it. It usually falls very low on my priorities for this reason.
Again, I'm really sorry for you guys having to wait on me and I'm glad that you guys are so patient (well, a good number of you are anyways) and I promise you'll see an update from me soon!
It may have been a while, but the end result will be worth the wait, and life happens, it has to come first, so no worries. Although of course I'd be lying if I said I weren't glad to see new information posted abut its continuation :3
Nonononono! You are not a terrible person! You can take as long as you want and we'll still be waiting. As for depression, I know how you fel. I'm a diabetic and I get depressed all the time. Just know we will always be by your side! :3
@Petty: Hey Petty, don't worry about it so much <3. We all have duties to do and things that we need to get done in rl and I respect you for that. So it really doesn't matter, take as long as you need to get the pressure off you and I hope you get well soon.
And another thing, don't feel bad about it because we all have our ups and downs in life. The best thing is, to always enjoy what you love doing most and I hope you keep it that way.
Petty, you don't have some obligation to give us more comics! Imagine if somebody have you a dollar every day for two weeks, and then just stopped. Would you throw a fit, and claim they have a duty to keep giving you dollars? No! You'd be grateful they gave you any at all, and that's how I feel about your nuzlocke challenge. It's art that you give us for free! Don't feel stressed about doing it faster, just do what you can, even if it takes years! Your comic is amazing, and I really dislike how entitled some of your fans have been getting.
Hi, I discovered your comics a few days ago, and I read your Leafgreen comic non-stop! I'm so looking forward to more of your Heartgold, however, I can wait as long as it takes, because good work always takes long to be done. I hope you get over your depression soon, life is full of happy moments, sometimes many, sometimes few, but there are always happy moments... Just think about them!
just wanted to say, I read the whole LG and followed this from its beginning i believe; I found that update today, it was my birthday a few days go...Best.Present.EVER. Seriously, it's good to see you back! Also, i agree with katie, this is your comic, a kind of a gift to the readers. NOT AN OBLIGATION. Do it if you want, and at the pace you wish, and good luck for everything.
