A sequel run to A Petty Nuzlocke Challenge: LeafGreen Edition
It's been three years since LOCKE's adventures in Kanto and she's ready to take on Johto! A new rival and old enemies emerge as well as a rumor of a mysterious figure on Mt. Silver referred to as "RED".
Will LOCKE survive this league?
P R O G R E S S
THE NUZLOCKE RUN IS COMPLETE IN-GAME. The run goes through Kanto- RED is the final boss of the run.
It appears that you've also finished the game, be it for good or ill according to your Progress notes. So we do know that you actually fight Red, and knowing his pokemon are in the 80s the fight, for good or ill will probably be more bad ass in appearance than even the attack on Mewtwo. I pray it went well but know that at those high levels the only real option to have 100% assurance avoid losses is training to level 100, and even then it's 6 pokemon in their 80s where as Mewtwo while a legendary was only level 70 and wild.
Don't worry petty, i think most people are just happen that its not been abandoned. I really need to start drawing my SS nuzlocke but uni is too busy right now. A few more months to go... then I'm free!!!
We understand how hectic things can get, Petty; don't worry too much about it. Real Life > Games/Comics/Whatever. Those who get too impatient, while also understandable to an extent, simply need to grow up a bit and trust that you'd at least do your readers the courtesy of notifying them if you decided to abandon a project. As things stand, thanks for taking the time to make this comic and update it when you can. You have a knack for storytelling.
Sorry to hear about the sapped will and such. I 'm sure many of us can certainly relate when work is involved (especially retail).
i don't mean to badger you... but
@Petty umm... its been over 6 months... and i would say that is patient, no? i will literally explode like broseph if i have to wait any longeBOOM... btdubs you inspired me to nuzlocke LeafGreen. damned spearow killed my mankey :'( RIP kimchi...
I'd just like to say that you made me like pokemon again. I'm currently doing a nuzlocke of ruby while on my first playthrough of white. The nuzlocke is currently on hiatus because new adventures = best adventures, but the nuzlocke WILL BE FINISHED!
Also, just wondering, do you plan on updating regularly again? i know a lot of us want to know that, and if so, how often?
While I'm very glad that you've returned to the comic, I would like to point out that it would greatly behoove you to - if you're running behind, or real life is getting in the way - just drop in and say 'hey, comic's gonna be late'. That way, it doesn't look like you've just given up; people will give you a lot more leeway if they think you're just swamped.
your comic is amazing and im gglad youre finally ack into the comic business again. last night i clicked on the part 1 link in my address bar cuz i always have it and i was like: why should i even check its not gonna be pos- OMG!!!!!!!!!!
anyways, like the above person said, can u at least update so we know your not totally ignoring us
Glad You're Back
I'm glad you're back after such a long absence. I have some advice, I noticed you have a newsfeed on the homepage and the only update you have on there was declaring the launch of heartgold back in february. I suggest you make use of this newsfeed to regularly update your fans and not leave us in the dark, not saying anything until the day of your next comic. Thank you.
I definitely know the feeling; and actually, thanks to yours and a couple other Nuzlocke comics, I've been inspired to draw my own journey through a run. I just wish I had nearly as fast as a turn-out rate. : P
I have only recently started reading your comics, I finished Leaf Green and it must've been torture for your earlier fans to have to wait the full 6 months on you, while I waited a week... Anyway, I'm glad you updated again, and I'm thinking of Nuzlocking my Platinum! Thanks for the inspiration.
@Armada: Haha, aww-- Glad I could do so!
As for regular updating, I PLAN on using one of my two days off per week to work on my nuzlocke comics. As for how quick I can get them out depends on how long they're going to be or how complicated. It shouldn't be as bad as this last wait though. :)
@Kevin: You knwo, I totally forgot about that newsfeed-- great point and I will start using it. :)
@Katie310117: Hehe, you're not the only one to have noticed the absence of SILVER in this part. While I DO have a plot-related reason for him not showing up, that plot reason was derived from the need to consolidate the update. I wanted it to stay light-hearted for a while so this comic doesn't feel too depressing. ;)
So I cut SILVER so the comic isn't so SERIOUSSSSS in every update and (again) for the plot reasons.
