A sequel run to A Petty Nuzlocke Challenge: LeafGreen Edition
---------
It's been three years since LOCKE's adventures in Kanto and she's ready to take on Johto! A new rival and old enemies emerge as well as a rumor of a mysterious figure on Mt. Silver referred to as "RED".
Will LOCKE survive this league?
P R O G R E S S
THE NUZLOCKE RUN IS COMPLETE IN-GAME. The run goes through Kanto- RED is the final boss of the run.
Excellent as always, glad to say. It's nice to see Broseph back, the fact that self-destructing didn't really kill him makes his death in the LG run much less pointless.
WHOOOO!!! :D New update!! Petty, you must, and I repeat MUST, include every phone call from Joey with increasing agitation from Locke. Including a scene where she tries to delete him from her phone and he still manages to call her anyway :D
I hope things manage to get a bit smoother for you :3 ♥
Yay!
I am so exited that Broseph is back! And it is so cool that you will possibly have a Buterfree again! Around the 1st gym your Team's should meet each other! :D
Hells Yeah!
So glad to see this is alive, and so happy to see that Broseph is back! Interested to see you kick Youngster Joey's arse back to Professor Elm, hehe.
An update, seriously?!
Woah! Took you a long time but you totally made up for it with this controversial statement about Selfdestruct, the new Butterfree-to-be and the top percent Rattata!
I realized....
I just realized that you will get Eevee later! He died from a Graveler who used Self-destruct didnt he? So I guess you will have Lueroi back! Also you have another chance now to get a Pidgeot! Broseph is my favourite now! :D
Welcome back. :)
We missed this comic. I hope all is well for you. I must say, however, that some people seem to have misconceptions about you "resurrecting" old teammates on account of Broseph's reappearance.
For those seemingly clueless few, his return makes sense in that, when you break a rock (even with [most] explosives), you get several smaller rocks. When you break most other things/beings such as an (using on example from the comments) an Eevee or Electrode, however, you simply wouldn't. You'd instead get the label of being violently psychotic and a danger to the public.
@Arcana: Hahaha I was JUST about to say something along those lines. XD
Yeah guys, geodudes self destruct to make more geodudes... also this isn't REALLY BROSEPH himself, just a chunk of him.
As for the voltorb/electrode line, self destructing is a way of discharging energy for them (see Pikachu's vacation for how I think it works). But RICK didn't self-destruct, he was killed.
Anyways, tl;dr, the dead are dead and there's no real resurrection for ANY character.
The Original BROSEPH is dead, this is a new one. :>
awesome how a part of broseph is back, he was one of my favorites that died. but i don't see many people that are psyched to get to know the other new teammates, i know i am ;). anyways, i'm making the prediction right now that the cliffhanger is due to the rattata getting a crit, but broseph (being a geodude) probably takes almost nothing from it and it's a false alarm.
also, glad your back petty! your ability to take time out of your currently hectic life is to make this wonderful piece of art (that's right, it is no longer a comic, but pure ART status) is greatly appreciated
Wow. I had...pretty much given up on this one, having been very nearly two months since the previous update.
Well, I never Metapod I didn't like, and it's cool to see PseudoBroseph. Might've been wise to grind him a bit before fighting a trainer, though...I know it's a Rattata, but supposedly it has maxed IVs.
OHGODBROSEPHASDF
XD
HOLY GOD
I think I had a minor stroke!
I think he'll be sticking around for a while this time, too. :3
The Geodude line is TOUGH SHIT in HG/SS.
My Graveler served me valiantly in my own Nuzlocke.
OMG
I am so glad there was another one after the first. I only started watching the videos and seeing the AC after a while, and noww I'm glad I did! More Locke! More Pokemon! More Nuzlocke Challenge! Keep up the good work, and PLEASE get the next one out quick!
Huge fan.
@Petty: hey petty, been a fan for a long time, since way before LG was finished, and i just wanted to say that i'm willing to wait for this quality product of yours. i love that its all color and where you seem to be taking the story. i love that even though i've played the games since i was 11 i don't really know whats going to happen next. you have a gift for art and story telling and i hope it makes you happy and that you keep doing it and making the rest of us happy too. we're here for you, if only in words and spirit. but, speaking for myself, you don't have to apologize to anyone for doing whats best for you. you can always come back too this and i'm glad you seem to know that. keep up the beautiful work and don't apologize for anything that betters your life. you deserve it more than we need a comic. :)
... it can't amount to more than a couple points difference in stats under level 10. xDD Remember, at level 100 the difference between maximum and minimum IVs is only about 30 points, right? So, using rough logic, at level 10, it could mean a difference of a measly 3.
Although, granted, a couple points difference could mean more in a low level fight. I haven't really bothered to calculate that part.
Anyway my point is BROSEPH is awesome! And I totally look forward to the epicness that is Youngster Joey's disproportionately inflated perception of his own strength. <3
@Pacmanite: Higher stats in low-level battles (i.e. - before and shortly after the first gym) can make a world of difference. In higher levels, when you have access to much higher HP and far superior attacks which do insane amounts of damage, they matter significantly less than when your primary method of winning is usually tackle spam. That extra damage adds up after a while, especially on tougher foes.
Joey's Rattata may be top percentage IV's, but Geodude (and rock types in general) tend to start off with about twenty more points of defense stats than the other types, which means no matter how high his IV's are, he'll only do one or two points of damage with any attack.
Horay an update, and i got to say even with victor im still hoping for a luluxpongo releationship.So... when do we start taking bets on how long her pidgey will last.
When Athena evolves into a crocanaw (couldn't care less about spelling) i wonder if you'll make a joke about his size or how fat crocanaws usually are. haha
@WorldsbiggestNuzlockeReader: She's introduced with a female symbol by her name, the conversation with Oak refers to Athena as "her," and "Athena" is the name of a godDESS.
for a second, i thought Broseph's gonna' go all rock and roll. Then I realize you won't trade evolve him into a Golem, so that means, his gonna' appear as a Golem in Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald. If you think so too Petty, it would mean my spirit pokemon is an Aipom. You're a genuis!
Leroy and Rick
When he died, Leroy burst into a pile of ashes, right? He could return and his explanation is that Flareons are descended from phoenixs (which also explains why he was able to basically fly around the Celadon City Gym), and when Flareon die, they rise from the ashes as Eevee again. With Rick, he could return and say that the future sight attack didn't kill him, it just sent him three years into the future.
I apologize for this taking SO LONG to update! I'm moving around, getting a job and my life has spun into a frenzy of busy-ness!
